Mr. Dumont is the president and chief operating officer of Las Vegas Sands, a position he has held since January 2021. He has also been a member of the Sands Board of Directors since 2017. In these roles, he is focused on creating long-term growth for Sands and its stakeholders through its operations, properties and capital allocation strategy.
Mr. Dumont has more than 25 years of experience in management, development, operations and corporate finance. Through his 15 years at Sands, Mr. Dumont has a proven track record in designing and executing business and financial strategies to maximize company performance, empower employees and support local communities.
Under his leadership, Sands has undertaken transformative investment programs in both Macao and Singapore to elevate the company’s product offering, enhance customer experience and increase long-term earnings potential. He is responsible for Sands’ expanding its presence in Singapore with the company’s $8 billion new development project. Mr. Dumont has worked across multiple jurisdictions in pursuit of new business development opportunities for the company and is pursuing innovation in our industry through investment in gaming and resort operation technologies. Mr. Dumont leads the company’s environmental, social and governance programs and its commitment to the pillars of helping our people thrive, keeping our communities strong and protecting our planet.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Dumont held senior strategy and finance roles at Sands, including as the company’s chief financial officer beginning in 2016. As CFO, he was responsible for the company’s commitment to having industry leading balance sheet strength, investment returns, and financial controls. Mr. Dumont was instrumental in successfully orchestrating key financial and business initiatives, including enhancing the company’s investor relations function and negotiating strategic transactions to maximize shareholder value. Mr. Dumont led the company’s efforts to reposition its property portfolio to focus on high-growth, protected markets, executing the sales of both Sands Bethlehem and The Venetian Las Vegas.
Mr. Dumont and members of his family are majority owners of the National Basketball Association’s Dallas Mavericks. Mr. Dumont serves as the team’s governor, representing the team on the NBA’s Board of Governors. Mr. Dumont is a trustee of the Mavs Foundation, the team’s charitable entity dedicated to building a stronger community by empowering youth, women and families in need.
Mr. Dumont began his career in investment banking with Bear Stearns & Co and Miller Buckfire & Co. He received his MBA from Columbia Business School and earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Johns Hopkins University. Mr. Dumont currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada with his wife and children.
